"TEAM THURSDAY FOREVER"

#RiseWithThePhoenix
It's been an extraordinary few weeks with Team Thursday and I have grown so much more closer to them than ever before. Whether we're bonding and literally living through an entire lifetime in class, playing sports and eating "cheese and crackers" on the beach, working with industry professionals in a workshop setting, or having dinner together and supporting one another at film festivals, I am very grateful for each and every one of you. Thanks for sharing in so many of these wonderful memories with me and I very much look forward to many many more!!!

A new project is on the horizon and it's entitled "Linked"! I've been writing the first few drafts the last two months and have officially had my first meeting. Combining very talented actors from both AMAW and LAC: the ideas, creativity, drive, and determination from these individuals have fueled my inspiration to make this project a reality.
I only hope I can include more of my friends at Anthony Meindl's Actor Workshop and LA Connection in this project and many more down the line. "Linked" will be another quantum leap forward in my career and I can not wait to start full pre-production. It is an emotional, roller coaster story about The Butterfly Effect...how the journey of Eric Craft (Me) affects the lives of several other individuals' stories. How the people he meets, the choices he makes, and the events that transpire lead him down many different paths. Every character is unique in their own way, their strengths, weaknesses, desires, fears...all reflect upon Eric... All are Connected. All are One. All are LINKED. Take a sneak peak below at the amazing main cast of Linked and stay tuned for more updates coming soon! #RiseWithThePhoenix What else can I say? Coming to Los Angeles a year ago with my wife we had no idea who we would meet or what to expect. Family and Friends were back on the East Coast and we were on our own not knowing a single person in LA.
Until we joined Anthony Meindl's Actor Workshop that all changed. Experiencing our darkness, failures, fears, insecurities, flaws together...but also our light, truths, successes, hopes, passions, and our power...together. I've never been more comfortable to share my story and I now always know my voice matters. My dreams matter. My hopes matter. With their help I am a firm believer in myself and I am forever inspired by this new extended family. They have ALL grown a special place in my heart and I thank them so much for believing in me, becoming inspired by me, and collaborating with me in class and now outside of class. The sky is the limit for us all. And I am beyond thrilled that we are going hand in hand in this life's journey to making our dreams come true. #RiseWithThePhoenix Saying that the month of June is busy for Corey would be understatement.
1) "The Idiot Who Loved" - SAG 30 Minute Short Film that Corey wrote, currently producing, and playing the lead male character Alex is in PRODUCTION! Stay tuned for more details on the project and when rehearsals begin! That's all for now and as always... RISE WITH THE PHOENIX!!! Here are a TON of updates from just the last five days! Always moving forward and making progress!
-LA Connection: Had two great rehearsals this week with such an amazing, talented, and hilarious group of people before my Third Improv Show this past Friday! Our teacher Joe Spence is motivating, talented, and extremely easy to learn from. And although I will be moving up into a new group, one step closer to running our own show, I will be finishing up the year with some great friends I've made at LA Connection. Hope we all continue to work together no matter what class we're in! -AMAW: Another amazing, inspiring BONUS class with Mario and company Thursday night. Definitely building some great connections with some awesome people and learning so much about myself and my work. The techniques at this tremendous school has hugely effected my ability to bring ME to every character and my confidence has skyrocketed. Anybody interested in making a movie together? Let's do it!!! -Sketch Comedy Co-Op: Our show on February 4th is getting closer and our skits are coming along nicely. Dan is amazing and is leading the charge as it turns out I'm now the only guy! Although a lot of the original group has left I am very pleased with who remains as we are going to kick ass and take names at our performance! -Auditions Galore: Had a couple of auditions this week and I've never had more fun doing them. I must say that with everything I'm learning at AMAW has only helped me to grow as an actor. Memorization is easy, listening in the moment is easy, and my ability to bring the character out of me is tremendous. I've never been more comfortable in a role then I have since attending Tony and Mario's classes! -AFI Campus: Got a great opportunity to meet with a very talented group of filmmakers and directors and perform as an actor in one of their workshop classes. Being able to dive into a role I've never portrayed before and blowing it out of the park not only inspired myself but the professor and directors as well. I wish to work with many of them in the future so here's hoping for the best! A lot of big things on the horizon but that's all for now! Oh and...RISE WITH THE PHOENIX!!!! What an amazing, inspiring, talented class! I've had the pleasure of watching all of these great people grow and have breakthroughs in their work. I am thrilled that we have a few more classes together and hopefully we can all build long lasting relationships with each other. You guys are phenomenal and thank you for sharing YOU!
And Mario...you are a genius!!! Thank you for opening us up to reveal ourselves in every scene and for believing in us! It's been a very productive month of August. Learning a tremendous amount of useful information and moving forward step by step into reaching my goals.
-Officially on the wait list for Anthony Meindl's Actors Workshop! It only took one auditing of his LA class and I am fully inspired to know that I have found "The Light At The End Of The Tunnel". This is one of the many paths I will take! -Met with a Talent Manager and a Commercial agency. Obtaining so much useful information on what I need and don't need for my career. These few meetings have opened my eyes into what direction I want to take my career and I am forever grateful! -New Headshots on the way!!! With great help from The Void's photographer Mike Allen, I will soon have current, updated headshots to be sent out to agencies and be taken to auditions. And they look AWESOME! -SAG/AFTRA Orientation and LA Conservatory. I had a great chance to sit in and listen to the professionals as they gave me all the information I needed to know to help guide my career down the best route. And pretty soon I'll be able to attend classes, workshops, and have the opportunity to audition for AFI film projects! Stay tuned for more updates and thanks for reading!
